Lana and the Laird Untamed Highlanders Sabrina York 9781250069719 Books

Sabrina York has outdone herself in this third book in the Untamed Highlander series. While this book can be read as a stand-alone story is does provide an interesting view into the previous two stories. In this third book, Lachlan Sinclair, the Duke of Caithness is cursed – all the dukes have dies before their 30th birthday and his is coming up in a few months.
He is being haunted by the ghost of his father who is telling him that he must have the lands cleared so he can rebuilt his castle. His only problem is that Alexander Dunnet is refusing to clear his land. The duke plans to do something about that by traveling to visit Alexander and give him an ultimatum.
When he gets there rather than be cowed by the Duke, Dunnet and his wife Hannah stand up to him and refuse to clear their land. They are supported in this by Hannah’s sister Lana. One look at Lana and the duke sees that she is the woman of his dreams (literally). He has been dreaming of an angel and here she is.
Lana brings out the Scottish in him because he has also been in her dreams, but as a kilted Scottish warrior. She encourages him to find his Scottish roots. The more he comes to see the family as friends, the more discouraging his servant/cousin Dougal becomes. Dougal wants him to clear the lands and return to repair his castle. Lachlan doesn’t understand why his cousin is so insistent but it isn’t good.
This series focuses on three Dounreay sisters. Lana has always been the one who thought she would never marry because she sees ghosts (not something men want in a wife). On the other hand, Lachlan has never planned to marry because he knows he is cursed. How could these two not fall in love?
I think this is the best of the three books and found it a quick, enjoyable read. You can see what’s coming but aren’t sure how it’s going to get there. Ms York writes interesting, and believable characters that are a joy to read.

Lana and the Laird Untamed Highlanders Sabrina York 9781250069719 Books Reviews

I love the Doonreay sisters and the men in their lives!
I enjoyed the story. Again, the women's personality was well infused into the narrative.
I love Lana! Her character is so different from the usual historical romance and holy cow, she really know how to set her baits..... I laughed so hard and some of the things she says!
While poking fun at classic ghost stories it becomes one, and then it becomes more. Two people who each believe they are unloveable for very different reasons find each other. That's the romance novel part. This book also has betrayal, a wee archer, treasure, and lots of other surprises.
This is the perfect third installment for the Untamed Highlanders Series. It brings in the characters we've come to love in the first two stories, enhancing this already enjoyable tale. The plot, the characters, and the overall love story were all spot on. Well done.
This was such a lovely series! I think the first 'Hannah and the Highlander' was my favorite, but this one was a close second. I loved the characters in all of them. Both the men and the women were exceptionally appealing and entertaining. The Dounreay women were fierce and protective of their family and their men, which was a pleasure to behold. The strong relationships between the characters was what gave this series an added oomph. I had looked forward to Lana and Lachlan's story. We get the start of it in book 2, but it was fun to have it continue and develop. I loved Lana...her ethereal beauty and paranormal tendencies made her special. I enjoyed how Lachlan appreciated her and how they helped each other be more accepting of themselves. All in all, a verra satisfying trilogy that I would highly recommend.
Absolutely loved Lana and the Laird by Sabrina York. This is the story about a young woman who has the gift of seeing and talking to spirits and her name is Lana. While staying with her sister Hannah and her husband Alexander, Lana has been having dreams of this great Scottish warrior that she knows she will meet in the future.

Lachlan is the Duke of Caithness, and is just coming back to his lands after living in London for many years. He has given all of barons the rules that there must be a great clearing of the land so that the people will move on and sheep are to be put on the land to feed on so they can make money to finish renovating his family castle. But Lauchlan is also a haunted man and his future is to be short as he is cursed as well. He has also been having dreams of an angel who is going to save him.

It's incredible when they meet for they recognize each other from their dreams. Yet Lauchlan is not dressed as the warrior in her dreams but as a Duke in stuffy clothes.

I was addicted from page one. What great comings and goings that are in this book. I love how Lana visits with Lauchlan's dead mother.

Love how the whole family gets together in this book and things are finished from the previous two books. I forgot how much I loved Isobel's character but she's back and raring to go. Love Lana and Lauchlan's story. Wanted to keep reading more. I feel vested to this family.

Thank you Sabrina for this incredible read.
